Sands launches blog to provide more support for grieving families, friends and relatives

Sands Australia is a non-profit organisation that provides peer to peer support to families grieving after the loss of a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth or newborn death.

Support is provided through face-to-face meetings and a 1300 support line. Further to that information and resources is available on our website (www.sands.org.au). We are also active on social media (Facebook, Twitter, You Tube and Pinterest) including a closed and private Facebook group used to provide further support at different stages.

As part of our commitment to provide accessible information, we are in the process of launching a blog and invite you to share your posts with us, in order to help others. The blog can be seen at http://sandsaustralia.blogspot.com.au/

In return for your blog posts we will provide a profile for you on our website as a guest blogger and links on both your profile and also blog posts back to your blog and/or website. In addition we will post blogs and links on our social media.

We are also in a position to pay bloggers a total of $50 for a post of 500-800 words.  Posts must be original and not be reproduced elsewhere without recognising Sands.

It is our experience that grieving families value the importance of reading other people’s stories – it helps with their healing and also to not feel so alone.

We would appreciate your support with the Sands blog.

Please send your ideas for what you would write about and bio together with relevant links (website, blog and social media) to Pauline at info@sands.org.au

I look forward to having you support our new blog

Kind regards
